R.E.M

R.E.M. Sometime almost 3 months ago I first had my ears on this song and it somehow cut deep into my heart. It feels so deep but I’m not sure I understood the song. So I asked around in Kim Tae-Won’s fan club, and was told that R.E.M stands for Rapid Eye Movement. (which was not such a big help to understand the song, still -_-) It is composed and written by Kim Tae-Won, as you might have already figured.
.
This song is so deep and my biggest issue is that I’m not sure what it’s about. Ow, note that this song is sang by Kim Tae-Won~^^ except for the part that’s started with (*) mark which is sang by Lee Seung-Cheul. And as so, this song was inserted in Boohwal’s 8th album, 새벽, released in 2002.

사라지는 저 기억에 지나버린   (passing that missing memory)
있는거라 말 하기에는 너무 흐려져 가는   (to say that it’d be there, it’s too blurred)
지나는 아이의 눈에 잠시는 보여지는  (in the eyes of a passing child, it was seen for a while)
시간으로 전해지게 되 정해지는 모든 일 (it’s passed over time, that’s how everything is)
.
단 하루도 저 기억에 물들어버린  (even in one day, that memory was tainted)
있는거라 말 하기에는 너무 흐려져 가는   (to say that it’d be there, it’s too blurred)
지나는 아이의 눈에 잠시는 보여지는   (in the eyes of a passing child, it was seen for a while)
시간으로 전해지게 되 정해지는 모든 일  (it’s passed over time, that’s how everything is)
.
* 어딘가 그 어딘가  (Somehere, in that somewhere)
갈 수 없어도 항상 있어온 너   (even when I can’t go there, you’re always here)
아이야! 저 먼 곳에 이 순간도 흘러가네~  (Child! In that far away place, this moment is also elapsing!)
